Post-Publication Discussion

JUPIN (Jurnal Pendidikan Islam Nusantara) recognizes that scholarly discussion continues after an article is published. The journal welcomes constructive, evidence-based comments on published articles, in line with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) principles.

1. Submitting a Comment

Readers, researchers, and authors may comment on any article published in JUPIN by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Post-Publication Comment – [Article Title]". Please include:

Full name, institutional affiliation, and email address
The title, volume/issue, and DOI of the article
The comment, of no more than 1,000 words
Supporting references or data, where relevant

2. Criteria for Comments

Comments must:

Be relevant to the content of the article
Be based on evidence and sound scholarly reasoning
Be written respectfully and professionally

Comments that contain personal attacks, defamatory statements, promotional content, or that are anonymous will not be considered.

3. Review Process

The editors will assess each comment within 14 working days.
If a comment raises substantive issues, it will be forwarded to the corresponding author, who will be invited to respond within 30 days.
Significant comments and the authors' responses may be published as a Letter to the Editor or Commentary in a subsequent issue, linked to the original article.

4. Corrections and Retractions

If a discussion reveals errors or concerns about an article's validity, the journal will take appropriate action following COPE guidelines. This may be a correction (erratum or corrigendum), an expression of concern, or a retraction. All such notices are linked to the original article.

5. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are expected to engage constructively with post-publication comments. If authors discover a significant error in their own published work, they should promptly notify the editor so that it can be corrected.
