ARCHIVING POLICY
Archiving Policy
BIDUK: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is committed to the long-term preservation and permanent accessibility of its published scholarly content. To ensure that all published articles remain permanently discoverable, readable, and accessible to the international research community, the journal utilizes the following archiving and digital preservation strategies:
Digital Preservation & Archiving Systems
-
LOCKSS & CLOCKSS: The journal utilizes the Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe (LOCKSS) and CLOCKSS systems (integrated via Open Journal Systems) to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. This allows libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
-
PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): BIDUK is integrated with the PKP PN, which provides free, decentralized archiving for OJS journals to ensure long-term digital preservation of all published volumes.
Institutional & National Repositories
-
National Library Archiving: Published metadata and full-text articles are deposited into the Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital) database maintained by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of Indonesia, as well as the National Library of Indonesia (Perpusnas) digital repository.
-
Institutional Repository: Authors and the editorial team are encouraged to deposit published versions of articles into the institutional repository of Universitas Nurul Huda (UNUHA).
Self-Archiving & Author Rights
-
Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit all versions of their work (Submitted Version, Accepted Version, and Published Version/PDF) in institutional, thematic, or personal repositories (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu, Google Scholar, institutional repositories) immediately upon publication.
-
When self-archiving, authors must provide a link to the original published article on the journal's website, including the official DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
Data Integrity & Permanence
In the event that the journal ceases publication or website services are temporarily unavailable, all archived content preserved through LOCKSS/CLOCKSS and national databases will remain accessible to the public without interruption.
