ARCHIVING POLICY

ENJEL: English Journal of Education and Literature is committed to the permanent availability and long-term preservation of all published content. The following arrangements ensure that articles remain accessible even if the journal ceases publication or the journal website becomes unavailable.

1. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

ENJEL uses the PKP Preservation Network, a LOCKSS-based digital preservation service provided by the Public Knowledge Project. Each published issue, including article metadata and full-text files, is automatically deposited and stored in multiple geographically distributed archival nodes. If the journal becomes unavailable, the preserved content will be made openly accessible through the network.

2. Additional Archiving and Discovery Services

  • Crossref: Every article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) with the prefix 10.30599 (e.g., 10.30599/enjel...), which provides a persistent link to the article.

  • Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital) and Indonesia OneSearch: National indexing and discovery services that harvest and index the journal's metadata with persistent links to the full-text files.

3. Self-Archiving by Authors

Articles in ENJEL are published under an open access license. Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit the submitted version, the accepted manuscript, and the published version (PDF) of their article in institutional repositories, personal websites, or subject repositories at any time, provided that the original publication in ENJEL: English Journal of Education and Literature is acknowledged with a full citation and a direct link to the article's DOI.

4. Integrity of the Published Record

Once published, an article is part of the permanent scholarly record and will not be removed or altered without formal documentation. Any correction, retraction, or expression of concern is handled in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines and the journal's editorial policies, while the original published version remains archived.
