Dalam Loka, it can be used as a learning medium or resource by studying the architecture of the building based on physics concepts. This research aims to identify the physics concepts contained in the architecture of Dalam Loka stilt houses by reconstructing the community's original knowledge into scientific knowledge which can be used as a source of physics learning. The research method used is ethnoscience-based descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out in Sumbawa Regency, NTB using observation, interviews, and literature review techniques. The data obtained is then analyzed, verified and reduced, then constructed, and interpreted into scientific knowledge. Physics concepts that can be explored from stilt houses in the workshop are damped forces, properties and types of insulating materials, temperature, heat, earth rotation, balance, gravity, pressure, lateral forces, Bernoulli's principle, simple planes, density, elasticity, water absorption, and rigid objects. The results of the research show that the architecture of stilt houses in the location can be interpreted into scientific knowledge and implemented in physics learning
2024-05-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Hermansyah Hermansyah, Siti Sriyati, Winny Liliawati https://jsr.unuha.ac.id/index.php/u-teach/article/view/843 Preliminary Developing PBL-ESDG Learning Tools on Global Warming Topics: Needed to Train Earth Science Literacy and Student Creativity 2024-05-21T17:02:28+00:00 Desi Wulandari desiwulan770@gmail.com Shobrina Nurul Mufida shobrina@iai-alfatimah.ac.id Saniyatul Hikmah saniyatulhikmah@gmail.com
This research aims to analyze the preliminary development process of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning tools integrated with Education Sustainable Development Goals (ESDG) on the topic of global warming which aims to train students' earth science literacy and creativity. 3D research design (define, design, develop) is used as a type of initial development research which is an adaptation of 4D design. This research used a validation sheet instrument with assessment indicators in the form of content assessment criteria, presentation criteria, and language criteria. The results of the assessment by 3 experts (2 experts in physics learning instrument development and 1 high school physics learning instructor expert) were analyzed using the percentage of agreement. The research results showed that the entire learning tool was declared valid for each construct, content, and presentation criteria with several improvements. At the development stage, there are improvements to input and suggestions from validators so that the learning tools used are better. Thus, this learning tool can be used for learning to train creativity and earth science literacy for high school students. The concepts of quantities, units, and dimensions in physics, such as horsepower (hp), are fundamental to learning from school to college. However, there is still a lack of philosophical understanding of the concept of horsepower in the context of physics teaching, leading to a deficiency in this understanding. This study proposes a philosophical exploration of the concept of horsepower from the perspectives of epistemology, ontology, and axiology. The research methods used include in-depth literature studies, conceptual analysis, and case studies related to the implications of horsepower in automotive industrial engineering. The results demonstrate that the concept of horsepower can be examined from various philosophical perspectives, including aspects of epistemology in its development, ontology in understanding its existence, and axiology in considering the values associated with its use. This philosophical exploration not only enhances the understanding of physics concepts but also encourages deeper reflection on the relationship between humans, technology, and nature
2024-05-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Dens Asbanu https://jsr.unuha.ac.id/index.php/u-teach/article/view/830 Ekplorasi Konsep Dinamika Rotasi pada Tari Banjarkemuning Asal Sidoarjo sebagai Sumber Pembelajaran Fisika Berbasis Etnofisika 2024-03-20T08:10:02+00:00 Achmad Maulana Satria Putra achmad.maulana6017@guru.sma.belajar.id Rif'ati Dina Handayani rifati.fkip@unej.ac.id Trapsilo Prihandono trapsilo.fkip@unej.ac.id
Physics as a part of natural science can not be separated with indigenous knowledge. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using PhET virtual simulations in solid-state physics learning in improving conceptual understanding among prospective physics teachers. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 30 prospective physics teachers from the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia in Bandung. Concept understanding is measured through a description test. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test and normalized gain to assess the effectiveness of virtual simulation and increase understanding of concepts.
